Halifax Water is hiring for three (3) Operations Technologists. There are two (2) regular opportunities and one (1) term opportunity (for a period of approximately 6-12 months), in the Engineering Approvals Team, all have full time hours.

What the Engineering Approvals Team is responsible for:

• -          Connections to, and extensions of, the Halifax Water Systems

As an Operations Technologist, you will:

• -          Inspect the installation of Service Connections and appurtenances attaching to the Halifax Water Systems
• -          Audit the installation of water, wastewater and stormwater main extensions and appurtenances attaching to the Halifax Water Systems
• -          Collect, produce, and retrieve record information

To do this job, you need to:

• -          Five (5) years of experience in the municipal engineering field
• -          Post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
• -          Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation
• -          Valid driver’s license
